There is a reason 1959 is THE year for Gibsons. Look at the difference in price between a 1959 Burst or dot neck 335 and a 1960 burst or dot neck. This 59 Special is 100% original with the exception of the tuner tips. The original TV yellow finish has naturally aged perfectly. It has had the almost required heel repair on the 58-60 Les Paul Specials. It has been expertly repaired and is rock solid (The strap button also had to be redrilled when repaired). The original frets are in great shape and it plays up and down the neck without buzzing. All original electronics sound and work great. Typical chunky 59 neck profile is a joy to play.
