1959 Gibson Les Paul Special in its original cherry red finish. This is the first iteration of the double cut with the switch located between the neck volume and tone knobs. This guitar has no breaks or repairs, which is quite a miracle because almost all of these have a heel repair. Its been refretted and once had some type of top mounted vibrato which left 3 screw holes on the top that have been since filled. Everything else is all original with the exception of the jack plate (there was a larger plate on at one time and two screw holes have been filled there as well). This guitar plays great up and down the neck and the early 59 chunky neck profile is a joy to play. The all stock electronics sound excellent. Comes with a really good repro case that I will photo soon.
