Gibson ES-345 TD 1960 Sunburst 1959 FON 1 Owner Double White PAF's
This is a truly special guitar. I got this from the original owners family who passed away about 10 years ago. The guitar had sat in its case since his passing. His name was Mickey and he was in the Doowop group "The Emotions" in the 60s, they had a few charting songs. Hence why we call this one Mickey. Has all the 1959 appointments including the long pick guard, varitone chip cover and the later 59 neck. Not gigantic, but the perfect later 59 shape. Original single ring single line klusons work perfect. It has been expertly refretted and plays great. It did sport a bigsby at one point, but it was the b3 variety, so no holes were drilled in the top! There are holes near the bottom strap button for this that have been filled and are barely noticeable. There is some Elmers glue residue on the back of the headstock (the original owner glued a picture of his wife back there) can be removed without damaging the guitar. There are no headstock, neck, heel or body cracks or breaks. Original finish shows some checking throughout, but is in great shape.
Yes those are double white all original PAFs and they sound phenomenal! These pickups alone are worth $10k-12K. Truly the holy grail of pickups.
