1959 Gibson ES-335. The real deal, one of the most collectable guitars and this one happens to be an excellent player with screaming hot factory sealed PAFs measuring 8.4 and 9.3 ohms! This guitar is an absolute beast through a cranked amp.
I've been watching pricing for 59's over the last few months and the two I saw pop up were for $57,000 (sold in a week) and $65,000 (no longer listed, not sure if sold).
Pots date to the middle of 59'. Neck profile is typical 59, not gigantic but has the heft you'd expect. It once had grover tuners, but the originals are back on (probably re-tipped). Frets are a tad on the low side (if you like big frets), but it plays up and down the neck including bends without fretting out. No cracks, no breaks. Finish checking throughout (that is hard to photograph), but nothing major. Little bit of back of the neck playwear. Original stop tail and bridge, never had a Bigsby. Comes with maybe the cleanest original brown lifton case I've seen.
