Gibson ES-330TD 1968 Sparkling Burgundy Metallic Near Mint Hang Tags OHSC
1968 Gibson ES-330 in rare original Sparkling Burgundy Metallic with original hang tags. This is a near mint/collector/museum grade piece. By far the cleanest example on the market. The only thing keeping this from mint is one small ding on the tip of the headstock and some finish checking (See photos). There are a few long horizontal checking lines on both the front and back. Guitar is 100% original including the frets (and they are in good shape). The original case is one of the cleanest cases from the 60's I've seen. This finish is notorious for fading, but this one has not faded. I got this straight from the family of the original owner and it clearly has not been played much at all. It wasn't for a lack of quality sound or playability because it sounds great. A lot of 330's have the issue of the bridge pickup sounding weak because it is not really adjustable and sits further from the strings than the neck pickup, but this one is balanced perfectly (due to the slightly hotter bridge pickup).
