Gibson ES-330 TD 1960 - Sunburst - One Owner Near Mint
Just in from the Brother of the original owner. This guitar had not left Cranford, NJ until I bought it. Literally under the bed since the mid 1960s. When the brother decided to sell he brought this to a local guitar shop (who probably was not well versed in the vintage guitar world) for a set up. One tone pot was scratchy so it was replaced and is included. The last fretboard dot marker is missing. Other than those two ”issues” it’s essentially mint, collector grade.
What’s really interesting about this guitar is that is an early 60 with all 59 features and a HUGE neck. Bigger than many 59 Gibsons I have had. Measures 0.91” and 1.01” at the first and 12th frets. It plays wonderful up and down the neck with the original frets that probably have never been filed. The original pickguard is a little reflective in some light (some of them off gas this way and create a film), I have heard this can be "cleaned" off, but I have not tried.
This guitar comes with the original soft case that is in rough shape, original strap, original chord, original hang tags, all the goodies! It will ship in a modern hardcase that will protect it well, with the softcase in a separate shipment.
