Definitely one of the better boutique builders for Teles/Esquires. I would say this one is better than any of the custom shops we've had come through here. This one has a set of Ron Ellis Standard pickups ($750 value) and they sound great. This "esquire" started life of with one pickup and a blackguard. The previous owner installed the white guard and pickups. He also replaced the volume pot with a vintage 60s pot (original included). I do not have the original pickups. There were a few added holes under the guard from this new pickguard. V shaped neck is feels worn in and very comfortable. Plays really well with low action on a 9.5" radius fretboard. Comes with the original thermometer style case that is very nice and the Carson Hess inscribed bridge cover.
