1959 Gibson ES-345 in original sunburst finish. This is an early '59 with the black varitone ring and the big '59 neck we all love. This guitar is in excellent condition, but has had some modifications. The varitone has been removed and the guitar was rewired mono. The original varitone switch is in place (not connected) and the choke is removed (I do not have the original choke). The pot cans and caps were removed (originals included) and the now mono jack is newer. The caps are early 60's sprague. The pots are all matching to the 7th week of '59 and the switch is also original. The PAFs are original and untouched except for flipping the magnet on one and extending the leads to be wired like a 335 (the leads on a 345 are factory wired directly to the switch). The bridge and tailpiece are original and this never had another tailpiece. The tuners are retipped originals, but there were other tuners installed at one time. It has been refretted perfectly and plays great up and down the neck. Comes with its original brown hard case.
