Straight from the original owners family comes this 1957 Martin 000-18. The original owner was James Cook of upstate New York who owned both this and the 1956 Martin D-28 (the D-28 has sold). His daughter Penny took to playing guitar and he eventually gifted this 000-18 to her. The two of them went on to play small gigs and family functions/barbecues together. Included are a dozen or so family photos and James and Penny playing the guitars. I bought both guitars together from Penny.
The 000-18 is in excellent shape. The bridge was professionally replaced (appears to have saved the original bridge plate). There is the typical pick guard crack and one small back crack that were repaired. Neck looks to have had a reset and after its recent pro setup, is playing great. Comes with a non original, but nice hard case.
Since the D-28 sold I included several of the photos of the original owners with that one, although 3-4 still come with this one
