1956 Gibson Les Paul Special in original TV Yellow finish. One of my favorite years for Gibsons. This is a players grade guitar, but all of the good stuff is still there. Lets start with the modifications. It has had a very professionally repaired headstock (with overspray just over the break area). The wood around the switch has some cracks that have been professionally sealed and are not going anywhere (they're 95% covered by the poker chip). The bridge pickup route was slightly enlarged, it is not that obvious unless looking for it. The bridge is a music city intonating bridge, but the original is included. One pot is replaced, but all else is original: tuners (although there was another set on at some point), knobs, pickups, hardware. It has recently been expertly refretted and it plays and sounds amazing. The guitar was 7 lbs and 7 ounces. Comes in a very nice modern case.
