1955 Gibson Les Paul Special in an old Cherry refinish. You can see the grain through the Cherry and it appears to be a very professional job. This was redone in the 1980's according to its previous owner. The front of the headstock has original finish. Unfortunately, the serial number was lost in the refin and a new one was not applied. I do not see any evidence of any breaks or repairs. All of the parts are original except for one pot and one cap (other pots date to mid 1955). I replaced the tuners with drop in double line (mid 60s) tuners because the low e tuner button crumbled when I went to restring. The original tuners are included. It plays great after a recent pro setup. The original small frets are still small, so if you prefer large frets you may want them redone. Comes with a Gibson (black with red interior) hard case with a broken handle (I will order a new handle).
