This guitar is in excellent condition. The bigsby is likely original dealer added when new; it is exactly period correct, has slotted headed screws, and matches the patina of the rest of the guitar perfectly. There are two extra holes from the original trapeze setup under the footprint of the bigsby by the strap button. In my opinion, a bigsby is way better than a trapeze anyway. Other than that this guitar is 100% original (never even had a heel strap button). The original frets are perfect and the guitar plays amazing. There is one anomaly that I can't determine if it is factory or not. Under the neck pickup dog ear mounting bracket there is a small amount of wood chiseled out on both sides (to lower the neck pickup). It is only the size of the mounting posts and you cannot see it with the cover on. This guitar is stamped as a factory 2nd and I believe that is why. I found another early '59 330 with the exact same feature and factory second stamp. This was a first year model in 1959 and Gibson is notorious for struggling with neck pickup height placements. This is the best 330 I have ever played, do not miss out.
