The original pickguard appears to have been cut or rounded at the top right horn (probably due to shrinkage). The one pickguard screw there was filled. The pickguard screws are not original. Comes with the original hard case (which was an upgrade in the 60s, they usually come with crap soft cases). Case alone is worth at least $750. The handle is a bit busted, but can be fixed. The original frets play great and have life left. It has two neck repairs, both of which appear done professionally. The headstock split vertically and was repaired with a veneer on the back (keeping the original serial # visible). There was also a typical 61 truss rod crack that runs vertical along a portion of the neck. This is very common on 61s because of how skinny the necks are. A few parts are also replaced: Tuners, Bridge, Stop tail piece studs (tailpiece is original), and someone removed the pot cans. This has been converted mono, but with the original pots and varitone in place and working. The frets have been replaced and it plays perfectly and sounds really great. One of the better sounding ES-345's we have had. Quite the value in parts on this guitar alone. The original frets show wear, but it plays well. Beautifully grained one piece ash body, the guitar weighs exactly 8 lbs. The guitar is all original with the exception of the Bigbsy (which is era correct and likely added very early on in its life), the saddles, and the tuners (straight drop ins with no extra holes, original tuners included). These P90s balance out wonderfully which is usually not the case on 330s. Plenty of honest wear, but no finish touchups. Frets are in good shape with no immediate need of a refret. Plays up and down the neck without buzzing or fretting out. The added Bigbsy is welcomed addition to this guitar as it adds some tonal variance and actually stays in tune fairly well. I personally much prefer a Bigsby on a 330 instead of the trapeze. There are extra holes on the side due to the Bigsby, but none on the top. Comes with the original case shown in the non cover photos. It is in rough condition cosmetically but functions 100%. It sounds like the guitar had some kind of grounding issue and he replaced most of the wiring on the inside with newer cloth wiring (including the pickup leads). The good news is that all the components remain original: pickups (one rewound by Tom Brantley recently), pots, switch, and jack. The following pieces are also not original: pickguard, pickguard screws, capacitor, bridge mounting screws, backplate screws, 1 intonation screw\/spring, all saddle height adjustment screws, and 1 jackplate screw. The backplate, covers\/knobs\/switchtip, bridge assembly (saddles, bridgeplate, block, claw, springs), neckplate\/screws, and tuners\/screws are original. It has also been refretted and the decal is likely replaced when it was refinished. Comes with its original tweed case in good shape. The guitar was of course returned because of the issue, but was just professionally glued back with the proper glue. The repair is now basically invisible. This amp just had minor professional service performed on it which included: replacing a few filter\/bypass caps, new treble pot, and one new telefunken 12AX7 tube. All of the original components are included. It is working 100% and sounding fabulous. The only real modification done to the amp was a blackface style handle installation. This left 2 extra screw holes and some slight marring of the tolex on the top. The screw holes have been covered by proper brown tolex. The correct style handle on the amp now is a replacement. The area on the back of the headstock has also been oversprayed. There are two back cracks. Big, wide neck on these that is a joy to play.
