plate installed on the back (or the finish just deteriorated around the original) as you can say a faint slightly larger rectangle around the neck plate.  Other than that and a few tiny dings here or there the guitar is in excellent shape.  The back of the neck is worn in perfectly smooth and it plays like butter.  Neck is dated June of 63.  Original frets show some wear, but it plays without Everything besides the back of the guitars paint is completely original. All of the electronics are completely untouched with original solder. The first 5 frets have been replaced and the original nut shimmed. Comes with hangtags and original no logo case in excellent condition. Plays and sounds phenomal. Pat at Coop Guitars did the black refinish and saved some of the portions of the original sunburst below. Making this really cool black over sunburst look (that the factory was known to do). He did an amazing job and it looks and feels great. The front of the headstock was completely missing its logo so we decided to do the matching headstock.
